Imilchil
A bride dons her veil during a mock
wedding ceremony at the Imilchil Brides' Festival, an annual event
consisting of singing and dancing, trading goods, and searching for a
suitable marriage partner. Wedding ceremonies are usually held after
the festival, but for the benefit of visitors, mock marriages are
staged in which the local marriage customs are shown
